Επίσκεψη στο Αλίτους της Λιθουανίας

Το 3ο Γυμνάσιο Λάρισας επισκέφτηκε το Αλίτους της Λιθουανίας με σκοπό να πάρει μέρος στην 3η Διακρατική Συνάντηση του Ευρωπαϊκού Προγράμματος Erasmus+ ‘OVER WATER’ .

Το ταξίδι πραγματοποιήθηκε από τις 26/5 – 2/6 και συμμετείχαν 3 καθηγητές και 7 μαθητές. Οι 5 εταίροι Βουλγαρία – Ιταλία – Γαλλία – Λιθουανία και Ελλάδα, συναντήθηκαν στη Λιθουανία, συμμετείχαν σε πολλές δραστηριότητες και παρουσίασαν τις εργασίες τους. Το σχολείο μας παρουσίασε τη χρήση της Υδροηλεκτρικής Ενέργειας στην Ελλάδα και τα πιο σημαντικά Υδροηλεκτρικά Εργοστάσια της χώρας μας.
Κατά την παραμονή μας στο Αλίτους επισκεφτήκαμε το Δημαρχείο όπου μας καλωσόρισε η Αντιδήμαρχος της πόλης. Ξεναγηθήκαμε στο κέντρο της πόλης, περπατήσαμε στο πάρκο Alytaus Miesto και διασχίσαμε την περίφημη γέφυρα White Rose που είναι η ψηλότερη πεζογέφυρα της Ευρώπης. Είχαμε , επίσης, την ευκαιρία να επισκεφτούμε τους μαιάνδρους του ποταμού Νέμουνα και τη διάσημη λουτρόπολη Birstonas όπου δοκιμάσαμε διάφορα είδη μεταλλικών νερών. Περιηγηθήκαμε στο εργοστάσιο βιολογικού καθαρισμού του Αλίτους αλλά και στο μεγαλύτερο Υδροηλεκτρικό Εργοστάσιο της Λιθουανίας που βρίσκεται στο Kaunas.Η βαρκάδα στη λίμνη Galve και η ξενάγηση στο νησάκι Trakai και στο κάστρο του ήταν από τις ωραιότερες στιγμές του ταξιδιού.
Τέλος, είχαμε την ευκαιρία να παρακολουθήσουμε την ετήσια καλοκαιρινή γιορτή του σχολείου που μας φιλοξένησε όπου ακούσαμε παραδοσιακά τραγούδια, χορέψαμε παραδοσιακούς χορούς της Λιθουανίας και γευτήκαμε τοπικά εδέσματα.
Το ταξίδι στο Αλίτους και στη Λιθουανία ήταν μια μοναδική και αξέχαστη εμπειρία και η φιλοξενία των Λιθουανών εταίρων μας ήταν πραγματικά εγκάρδια.

The 3^rd Gymnasio of Larissa visited Alytus, Lithuania from 26^th May to 2^nd June in order to participate in the 3^rd Transnational meeting of the European project “OVER WATER”. The five partners Bulgaria, Italy, France, Lithuania and Greece met in Lithuania to take part in activities scheduled and organized by the host country and to present their projects on “Working Water”. Our school presented the use of hydroelectric power in Greece and the most important hydroelectric plants of our country. The Greek team consisted of three teachers and seven students (four girls and three boys). Five students were hosted by Lithuanian families and two stayed at the hotel with the teachers.

It was a well-organised 4-day programme full of activities and visits. We visited “The loops of Nemunas” and Birstonas, a famous resort and spa town which is , also , well- known for its mineral water. There we visited a large sanatorium and we tasted different kinds of mineral water. We went to the Water treatment plant near Alytus and we enjoyed a guided tour in Trakai and a boat trip in Galve Lake. We visited the Hydroelectric Power Plant in Kaunas. This plant is located on the Nemunas River and its dam created the Kaunas reservoir. We walked around the old town of Kaunas and went on a guided tour in its castle which was built at the confluence of the rivers Nemunas and Neris.

We, also, enjoyed the welcoming ceremony and the reception at the Alytus Town Hall which was followed by a guided tour in the city centre and the Alytaus Miesto Parkas. We crossed the famous White Rose Bridge where we admired the great view. This bridge is the highest pedestrian bridge in Europe.

The ‘Rainbow lab’ and ‘Ebru painting’ were really interesting and motivating activities and the students enjoyed them a lot. Solving the quiz about Lithuania and Alytus was a fascinating activity and the students had a lot of fun competing each other.

Finally, we were glad to attend the Traditional annual Likiskeliai community festive event. We had the opportunity to listen to folk music and songs and even dance traditional dances. The goodbye party that followed was heartwarming and touching.

This trip to Alytus and Lithuania was, is and will always be an unforgettable experience.
